GET TO KNOW ME

THE PROFESSIONAL SIDE

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002 with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I worked in the field of social work for a nonprofit agency for over two years. After working in non-profit, I decided to attend graduate school. I moved to Statesboro, Georgia to attend Georgia Southern University in 2006. While attending graduate school I served special needs students with behavioral challenges for five years.  I graduated from Georgia Southern in 2010 with my Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology. I moved to Aiken, SC in 2011 and joined the Department of Special Programs for Aiken County Public Schools as a School Psychologist where I am currently employed full time. As a School Psychologist I grew to love the investigative nature of assessment, along with helping students and school teams address academic and behavioral challenges. I developed a love for human behavior and interventions so I decided to go back to school to increase my behavior analytic skills and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Earning this certification has enhanced my expertise and skills in helping students, teacher and parents address behavioral health challenges.

THE PERSONAL SIDE

I am the mother of a very bright and talented teen daughter and grandmother to a mini rex bunny named Scooter. I spend my free time scrolling through Tiktok, watching streaming shows, cooking and visiting friends. I love thrifting and up-cycling vintage furniture. I have a slew of plant babies that I care for on a daily basis.  I enjoy laughing and making jokes.
